Local Council Roads Innovation Group (LCRIG) Events Platform
During the Covid pandemic restrictions, LCRIG had to find an alternative solution, very quickly, to enable them to continue with their Highways industry events, exhibitions and conferences in a virtual way. We designed, developed and built a platform that facilitated these events, allowing users to book tickets to attend, stream live presentations directly from the site and interact via Q&A sessions and chat. Simple, intuitive navigation on desktop and mobile was key to simplifying complicated functionality.
A virtual exhibition hall allowed exhibitors to create a profile, with visual and text content for approval by LCRIG. Event attendees could view and interact with exhibitors virtually, create an agenda for their day(s) and download digital ‘goody bags’ with brochures etc. As behaviours have changed, the use of the platform is still very much in demand and is now used by LCRIG as both stand-alone and to support their in-person events.
In addition, the platform has been flexible enough to re-purpose for LCRIGs members.
